How we achieved 498% increase in online transactions.

Lifestyle launched in 2018 as an online furniture designer and store. As a newcomer to the market Lifestyle Furniture were finding it difficult to carve a place amongst the emerging and competitive market place.

180South were appointed as Lifestyle’s UX, UI and design agency to work on the website and to evolve the brand to help position the company as a creative leader in the marketplace and to achieve it’s revenue goals.

Creating an incredible user experience.

Designing user experiences that delight is a difficult task. It takes a highly skilled team of experts: user experience strategists, user interface designers, copywriters, photographers, and engineers. 180South assembled a team of specialist to craft and optimize the Lifestyle Furniture user experience.

Focus groups make perfect.

We worked closely with the Lifestyle leadership and marketing teams to develop user profiles, journeys and stories, then applied these to a new navigation structure and information architecture. We formed focus groups and performed real-time and remote user testing at each stage of the project.

Lifestyle got influential.

The research and focus groups opened our eyes and helped us to discover the fast-fashion formula was reflected through the market place. Knowing the customers were 75% female, strategies moved formed to embrace online fashion stylings.

Key to the success Lifestyle appointed a social media specialist to work with influencers to start drive traffic whilst the website project was in motion. As the social momentum grew so did traffic to the website.

The unique balancing act.

Every great digital product strikes a fine balance between business goals and user needs. Lifestyle’s website was no different. While the overarching business goal was to make it easier for users to buy products, there were several user goals that needed to be addressed and accomplished. We were able to strike a clean balance between driving sales, helping users trust and believe in the brand and exploring to find the perfect product.

Fabulous on every screen.

Lifestyle’s traffic is strongly swayed to mobile devices. This was no surprise and it linked back to the fashion formula discovered in the focus groups. We took this and ran with it. The styling is clean and crisp allowing the furniture to stand out and be loved. We researched fashion websites heavily and pulled through characteristics to give a familiar environment to the customer.

Human focussed UX and space to display the beautifully designed products equals delighted users, better conversions and higher revenues. Since the site launch, ‘Lifestyle’ experienced jaw-dropping results.
